New York, Manhattan, 17.07 pm
The sun is beginning to set as dusk was beginning to show in the snow covered town. There lay street lamps, skyscraper buildings, and people passing by, minding their own business which makes the town all so cliché in this time of year. The city was overshadowed by the Brooklyn Bridge which was overlooking the sea of red in the sky. With the lights one by one was lit throughout the city, portraying an endless sea of stars overflowing even amongst the earth.
In one particular police station lays one particular man who will be the center of our story. Then in the office just as our man is sleeping on the chair with a newspaper covering his face, a phone rang “riingg…! ”
Unimportant police officer: Hyde! Phone!
Man Called Hyde: 89th precinct. This Is Hyde…….
The man called hyde who has a rugged beard with the old detective cop look, answered the phone.
Man Called Hyde: What the hell? Bradley!?
A worried look just passed through Hyde’s eyes, not only that the expression on his face looks somewhat shocking.
Then the man called Hyde was at a place which resembles a dock and he was holding tightly a G-19 standard police handgun tightly with both his hands while aiming at another man.
The other man was wearing a coat, tucking both his hands inside and standing before the dock overlooking the river along Hudson that was glowing gold by the sunset in the middle of New York City.
Hyde: Bradley!
As he called the man, the man slowly turns his head to Hyde.
Hyde:Why?
He emotionally asked the man which didn’t give a reply.
Hyde:Don’t Move!
The suspense and tension filled up the air AND at that moment “BANG….!!” Hyde pulled the trigger which results in shooting the man down the dock. As he fell down into the river he murmurs one last word.
Man Called Bradley: M-Mila….
Hyde then just stood there dumbfounded by his own action as he recalls the man’s last word in his mind.
Waking up from a bed in an apartment
Hyde: aarrghh…(Breathing heavily) Just a dream.

Los Angeles, 10.16 am
Another day another dollar, this idiom would be perfect to suit the city of Los Angeles for in this fair metropolitan city, people never rests let alone wink. Our story continues on a day like any other in a building which also started with a phone call “Ring…..!” An old guy about his 50’s answered the phone on the desk with a heavy and dignified voice which echoes throughout the office.
Old Guy: Red Crown
The guy speaks a name that would sound like the name that of an organization’s.
Old Guy: What’s that? How many? Got it!
Said the old guy normally which implies that he’s familiar with this.
Old Guy: All right. We’ll send it right out.
Old Guy: Rachel ! Where the hell is Hyde?
Barks the old guy from the center of the room to the corner of the room that’s beside the entrance door. A beautiful 30 year old woman wearing glasses is sitting at the desk in the corner who seems to be the guy’s secretary. Not giving the woman a time to answer, the old guy speaks yet again….
Old Guy: Get Him on the Horn, Pronto!
Then the woman answers with a calm and sexy voice as if she’s used to the guy’s manner of speaking.
Woman called Rachel: Yes, Sir.
She, then picks up the phone trying to contact someone. At the same time yet at another place somewhere in the highway of Southwestern United States near Los Angeles, California. A car is on the road and inside that car is a man named Hyde, he is driving alone on the highway, then his pager beeps indicating that it is being called by someone. He glances at it and then throws it back to the seat next to him. After a while the car stops at a gas station and Hyde comes out to a nearby public phone to call someone.
Old Guy: Hyde! Why haven’t you checked in?
Hyde: Stop yelling, Ed.
Said Hyde in a carefree tone to the old guy who seems to be familiar to him.
Hyde: My head’s pounding like a marching band caught in a stampede.
Ed: Hung over again, eh? Well, no sympathy here. Ya reap what ya sow!
Ed: Now listen up! I got a job for ya!
Ed: It’s a place called Hotel Dusk!
Ed: Package is on the way, and the order sheet’s inside.
Hyde: Got it.
After uttering those words, he hangs up the phone, heads back to the car and continues on his journey on the lonely highway with the lazily moving clouds. After driving a while on the desert highway, from a distance Hyde sees a figure that of a girl in white on the sidewalk walking down the highway slowly. Then he passes by the girl and at that exact moment both their eyes meet, the girl has a somewhat sad look on her beautiful face which in turn resembles that of Hyde’s own. As Hyde drives away from the girl, she stands there staring blankly into the blue sky while the breeze gently flutters down her silky long hair.
Hyde arrives at his destination, the place called Hotel Dusk. He parks the car, gets out with a brown leather suitcase and steps towards the rundown hotel, but he stops for a moment in front of the entrance, staring into space he reminiscence in his mind about himself and his painful past which still haunts him to this very day.
In his thought
Hyde: (The name’s Kyle Hyde.)
Kyle Hyde: (It’s been three years since I quit the force and left New York.)
Kyle Hyde: (Now I’m a salesman for this outfit called Red Crown.)
Kyle Hyde: (On the surface, Red Crown’s a door-to-door sales firm dealing in household product.)
Kyle Hyde: (But Ed, the boss, has himself a little business on the side.)
Kyle Hyde: (He finds things that don’t always want to be found. Keeps it quiet, too.)
Kyle Hyde: (From time to time, I lend a hand.)
Kyle Hyde: (Ain’t the greatest gig in town, but….)
Kyle Hyde: (Hell, I got nowhere to go and nothing better to do.)
Kyle Hyde: (You hear me, Bradley? This is it.)
Kyle Hyde: (This is what I’ll be doing until I find you…)
that's the first part done, don't be so shocked when there's more than 50 parts, it's a long and thrilling story.
