Fallout online In 2 years??

It's such as shame for all the fallout fans out there, that Fallout-online is due to be released in 2 years. Anticipations are piling up as the beta website are officially launched which only contains the screenshot and registration. The website http://www.fallout-on-line.com/ only offers such limitations aside from the usual jazzy fallout music. One of a screenshot of a concept area are shown below:

This Would indicate that we're playing using a Third person point of view. Having the possibilities of choosing between a human or a super mutant, though this's only my speculation, seeing as there're super mutants just sitting there beside the fire.

Chris Taylor (creator of original fallout and director of this project) posted some interesting new posts from the official Fallout Online forum yesterday on July 3rd 2010:
  • There will be lots of PvP, but that won't be the only activity.
  • There will be restrictions. Our vision of PvP requires player consent.
  • PvP can occur pretty much anywhere in the world, but not all players can partake in PvP. This goes beyond the /duel command; there is a whole different system in play here. It's not the old EQ-style PVP switch. It's something new. We're just not ready to give details at this time.
  • If you heavily commit to PvP, you will be rewarded. It will be risky, but the rewards are designed to make it worthwhile. If you'd like to dabble in PvP, you will still be rewarded and won't risk as much. We hope to entice more people to be involved in PvP, without making it a requirement.
The new pvp system gives something to be anticipated from this project. It nearly took 6 years on this project to be completed with 2 more years on the run. Hopefully This will be a huge success and further increase our love for the fallout world. Now Here's some Concept art from the fallout wikia website
